Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering is a BIG part of Countryside Little League!

Countryside Little League is successful because the community supports our players and our purpose.

All involved with Countryside Little League, from the Board of Directors to the coaches, are volunteers, giving their time and talent to ensure our players have the best possible experience in their young baseball and softball careers. We rely heavily on our volunteers, and we welcome additional volunteers all year long.

Listed below are the key type of volunteers needed to successfully operate the league (but may not be limited to).

 - Concessions Volunteer (CLICK HERE for more concession stand information)
 - Team Manager

 - Team Asst. Coaches (games coaches, practices coaches)

Are you interested in volunteering in the dugout or on the field?
CSLL thrives when parents and community members volunteer in the dugouts and on the fields.  Keeping in mind, our players safety is our top priority, all volunteers assisting with players in the dugouts and on the fields are required to pass a background check.  If you are interested in volunteering please take the following steps:
1)  Complete the Volunteer Application which can be found on the CSLL website in the registration system.
2)  Ask the Manager of your team to text the Safety Officer to be added to the "Coaching/Team Parent Roster".  These requests can only be accepted from the Manager of the team.
3)  The Safety Officer will then initiate the background check and you will receive an email from "JD Palatine dba/ JDP".
4)  Follow the steps found in that email.
5)  When your background check has been cleared, the Manager will be notified via text from the Safety Officer.
**It is very important to remember, ONLY background cleared volunteers are allowed in the dugouts or on the fields with players.***
Common question:
*What if I have already been Level 2 background checked for PC Schools?  That is great; but Little League International requires that we also have a JDP background check to volunteer with the league.
*If I was cleared in the Fall, do I have to do it again in the Spring?  No.  We only require background checks once a year BUT we still need to add you to the "Coaching/Team Parent Roster".  Please make sure your Manager texts the Safety Officer to have you added.
*How long will it take to be cleared?  Please remember this is time consuming process.  This is why we ask the coaches during the Manager's Meeting at the beginning of the season to submit the names as quickly as possible.  Names submitted once the season has begun will take longer.  We will process every request as quickly as possible.
