Dear Little League Parents and Families,
The COVID-19 virus is making an impact in our community and surrounding areas. We, the board at Countryside Little league, have made the tough decision, at recommendations of Little League International, District 12 and City Officials, to suspend all Games and Practices until April 6th, 2020. It is in the best interest of the kids and families involved with our programs, to aid in controlling the spread of the Coronavirus.
There is to be no group activity at or around the fields. Manager/coaches should not publish team activities elsewhere. All events involving Countryside Little League have been cancelled until further notice. This also includes Little League Day at the Rays (families will be receiving a refund back to their credit card), CSLL Community Day (Hit-A-Thon) and team pictures. The City is locking all fields and access to the batting cages has been suspended. We encourage our members to continue to practice their skills at home to be prepared for when the League is given the okay to resume a normal schedule.
We will be looking to the Center for Disease Control, The State of Florida Department of Health, and the Pinellas County Health Department for further guidance over the next several weeks with regards to our return date. We will assess the situation again prior to the return date and take any further actions at that time if necessary. The safety of our players and their families are of the utmost priority during these challenging times.
