Volunteer Concession Pilot Program
We would like to try something new this season and not mandate team assignments for the concession stand. Yes you heard that right, not mandate team assignments!!!!
However, the concession stand cannot operate without the help of volunteers. Therefore, we are asking for your help, by signing up for a shift or two, using the Sign-Up Genius link provided for time slots when there are scheduled games at our fields. When you sign up, it could be during the time your player has a game or after the game, so you do not miss any of the action. Don't be shy, you can certainly sign-up for more than one time slot!!
This is also a great opportunity for high school students (15 yrs or older) or anyone needing volunteer hours.
We would like to pilot this program for the next week beginning this Saturday, October 10th. If we receive a great response, we will continue this program for the remainder of the season. If we do not get a good response, we will go back to assigning concession stand time slots to each team.
Before signing up, please review the below guidelines for working in the stand.
Guidelines for Working in the Concession Stand:
-Shift assignments will be in 45-minute increments.
-No more than 2 volunteers at a time.
-No one under the age of 15 will be allowed to work or be in the concession stand.
-Volunteers will be required to submit to a “temperature check” before entering the concessions stand.
-Volunteers MUST wear a mask when working in concessions.
-Hands MUST be washed or sanitized frequently both before, during and after a volunteer’s shift is complete.
- Gloves MUST be worn when handling all hot food.
-To help to ensure our volunteers safety, all common touch points (i.e. register, door handles, drawers, counter top areas) will be sanitized and disinfected by a board member prior to opening.
