Welcome to the 2022 All Stars Program at Countryside Little League
Online Player Registration: April 18th to April 29th

** All Star Information.  Strongly encourage parents to read:
What Parents need to know about All-Stars
Five Need-to-knows for Tournament Parents

-Baseball Players who are league age 8 to 16 years old, currently playing and have participated in 8 of the regular season games are eligible to have their name on the All-stars team ballot for the team(s).

 -Softball Players who are league age 8 to 16 years old and have participated in 8 of the regular season games are eligible to have their name on the All-stars team ballot for the team(s).

COMMITMENT:  In order to be eligible, all players must also be available during the entire practice schedule, as well as tournament games! There are NO exceptions.  Practices could be up to 2-3 hours per day, 6 days per week, at the pleasure of the manager.  Practices begin in May .  Games will begin in June.  Players should assume commitment is needed from May 16th through July 15th. Teams that advance can play through July and possibly later.  The game schedule will be established by District 12 in early June. The expectation is that every player will attend each game and practice.

NOTE: If a child gets selected to a team and the parent/guardian decides to remove the child from All-stars for any reason, once uniforms are ordered, the parent/guardian will forfeit the registration fee.

Parent/Guardian Responsibility: The All-stars Tournament team is a separate opportunity for players to continue playing baseball and softball after the regular Little League season is completed. The registration fee for All-stars is $175.00This fee covers the costs of a team registration fee, insurance, full uniform, and pins. Scholarships are available. Parents/Guardians are responsible for any and all additional expenses incurred, which may include personal equipment, additional uniform elements, photos, team party, etc. Parents/Guardians are responsible for all transportation to and from team practices and games.  Some mileage and lodging reimbursement for Regional play and above will be provided.  Parents/Guardians will be responsible for choosing correct uniform sizes.

Tournament Team Playing Time and Positions: Tournament rules are different than the Countryside LL regular season. For example: tournament play based on 12 players on a team, the minimum play rule is: Every player on the team roster shall participate in each game for a minimum of six consecutive outs on defense and bat at least one time. Minimum play for teams of 13 players is one at bat per game. Playing time exceeding these minimums is not required.  This requirement does vary based on how many players are on a team, but please note the difference between all-stars and regular season requirements.  All-stars competition is extremely competitive.  Also, it is at the manager’s discretion as to what position the player is placed.  The manager must field the best team and thus a player may be placed in a position he/she usually does not play during regular season.

All player registrations must be received by midnight on April 29th.

If a player registers, are they automatically placed on an All-stars team?  No.  Registering simply allows the league to know that the player wants to be considered for an All-stars team.

Why is there a fee for All stars?  The  fee goes towards uniforms which include game jersey/pants/socks/belt/hats and a practice jersey.  The All stars uniforms are of very high quality and must be ordered as soon as the team has been selected, but BEFORE the team is announced.  This fee also covers the cost of a team registration fee and insurance.

What is included in the registration fee?

With your  fee your All stars will receive:

* Hat/Visor
* Game Jersey(s)
* Pants
* Socks/Belt
* Practice Jersey(s)

Our Little League attempts to provide the highest quality, best looking uniforms we possibly can while still keeping the fee low.  We not only want them to look great but also last so your All stars can wear them with pride for years to come.  The fee that you're paying consists of the actual costs incurred by the league to purchase and build the uniforms plus the costs of chartering All stars teams with Little League International.

What are the dates of All stars?
  We can only give estimated dates of All stars because it all depends on how far the teams advance.  But in general, team announcements will be made at the end of May/first of June.  Players should assume commitment is needed from May 16th through July 15th.   As soon as District 12 gives us a set of game dates, then we'll pass it along.

How are players selected?  The AAA and Majors players and managers/coaches vote on the All stars team.  Every player, manager, and rostered coach in these divisions will get a ballot that they will complete under the supervision of a league representative beginning on Friday, May 7th.  If we combine with another Little League to form an All-stars team, a try-out may be required in order to be selected for a team.

What documentation will I need to provide?  If your player is selected to a team, you will need to provide 3 forms of proof of residency (or proof of school attendance) and a birth certificate (certified copy or original).  If you have played All stars before, then we have your birth certificate on file and you won't have to submit it again.

Which All-stars teams could Countryside LL have?  Listed below are the possible teams:

Baseball -- Seniors (13-16 yr olds), Juniors (13-14 yr olds), Intermediate (11-13 yr olds), Little League (10-12 yr olds), 9-11 Yr Old Team, 8-10 Yr Old Team.

Softball -- Seniors (13-16 yr olds), Juniors (13-14 yr olds), Little League (10-12 yr olds), 9-11 Yr Old Team, 8-10 Yr Old Team.

Which teams Countryside LL will have will depend entirely on the amount of players and volunteers that register.  NOTE:  Countryside LL may also combine players with other leagues to form an All-stars team.

My kids might have a summer activity or family vacation that could interfere.  Should I still register?  This is probably the biggest question/issue we face every year.  If you're not sure, then please contact us.  Every situation is unique, and we'll help you think it through.  The last thing we want is for someone to miss out on All stars because of something we can potentially work around.  So please contact us at [email protected].
