Players may try-out for an upper-aged division; but full discretion for division placement is solely based on the Independent Evaluator and the Player Agent.  If a player decides to try out for an upper aged division, they are still required to attend skills evaluation for their league age division.

* Any 5 or 6 year old without at least 1 prior season of T-ball will be required to sign up for T-ball rather than A-Ball.

** Intermediate is a competitive division that follows Junior rules (runners can lead off), but on a smaller field. Any player league age 11-13 yrs old that would like to be considered for the intermediate division may register. All interested players are subject to a try out or evaluation to be considered for a spot on the team. Players may choose to play on this team independently or may choose to be dual-rostered, playing for both the Majors or Juniors and the Intermediate team.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q:  Do you hold a player evaluation day?
A: Player evals, or skills demonstrations, will be held prior to practices starting. An email will be sent out with times at a later date.  This is only for AA through Majors divisions.

Q: When are practices?
A: Practice schedules are determined by each team manager's schedule coupled with the league's field availability.  One we receive the team manager's availability, a league official will assign a practice field location and batting cage time slot.  A manager may need to move practice schedules once the season begins.

Q: How often is practice?
A: Before Opening Day, we practice twice a week.  Once the season begins, practice will be once a week.

Q:  When do games start?
A: Games are expected to start September 10th when we kick our season off with Opening Day.  The season is expected to be complete the week of November 11, 2022.

Q: Is there a team manager meeting?

A: Yes. A mandatory team manager meeting is expected to be held on August 20th for all divisions.

Q: How many volunteers are needed for a team?
A: Each team will need a Team Manager, 2 assistant coaches, and 1 team parent.  Each volunteer role is important to help teams function smoothly.

Q: What is expected from parents/guardians?
A: Please volunteer to help us make this a positive experience for your child. This includes helping with team assignments for concession stand duty (AA through Majors) and also score keeping for AAA-Senior divisions. Learn more by visiting our Parents Corner.

City of Clearwater Recreation Card or Youth Co-Sponsor Card Required

The City of Clearwater requires that each player have a valid City of Clearwater OR Non-Resident Youth Co-Sponsor Card to participate in any sport program in the city.

The fee varies depending on if you reside within the City of Clearwater limits, reside in another city, or reside in an unincorporated area. “Non-residents living outside the city of Clearwater limits may purchase a “Non-Resident Youth Co-Sponsor Card” at $120 + tax to participate in the Countryside Little League program.”

If you are not sure if you have a valid card or need to purchase one, we recommend visiting one of the City of Clearwater’s recreation centers (Countryside Recreation center is located at our fields). They can answer any questions you have regarding cost and benefits. Please make sure to tell them you need a Youth Co-Sponsor Card to play Little League Baseball or Softball.
